Compliance to BS 8901 can be claimed by any organisation that is involved in the delivery of events. The organisation needs to have clearly defined its role and the scope of its activities with respect to delivering events.
Evidence needs to be sufficient to demonstrate that the event management system:
You can claim full or partial compliance with this standard. For example, you can select to have only the planning phase (Phase 1) of the standard verified if you wish to demonstrate that you are working towards the standard prior to the event. This would enable you to promote your success with respect to BS 8901 prior to your event occurring.
